First of all ALWAYS isolate the oven/cooker from the mains supply. If your oven is hard-wired in then turn it off at the wall AND at the consumer unit. These types of installations SHOULD have there own circuit to isolate at the consumer unit. NEVER rely on the switch alone.
Some of the modern single built in ovens use a standard plug. Ensure that it is removed/isolated before you attempt to carry out repairs. These Repair Tips are intended as a guide only. If unsure of how to carry out a repair on an appliance, consult a suitably qualified engineer.

Not all gas cookers/ovens require electricity. If your Gas/Electric Cooker has a clock or electronic ignition, the unit needs electricity to work properly. Check to see whether there's power getting to the Cooker/Oven. If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. |

This mostly happens in the Drop-Down type Oven Door. If your oven door has bent or warped (maybe something heavy rested on it for a long time) you need to unclip the door from the oven body, take it apart, and, straighten the Oven Door Hinge. |

First of all, check the Fuse at the Fuseboard. Check the circuit breaker/fuse in the Fuseboard is o.k. Check that the power is reaching the Terminal Block at the back of the Cooker/Oven. |
