Fridge Freezer Repair

First of all ALWAYS isolate/unplug your fridge freezer from the mains supply. These types of installations SHOULD have there own circuit to isolate at the consumer unit. NEVER rely on the switch alone.

Some of the modern fridge freezers use a standard plug. Ensure that it is removed/isolated before you attempt to carry out repairs. These Repair Tips are intended as a guide only. If unsure of how to carry out a repair on an appliance, consult a suitably qualified engineer.

This happens a lot. There are a few pointers: Adjust the thermostat to a lower number on the dial. Check the temperature using a fridge/freezer thermometer (proper fridge temperature should be 2-5 degrees Celsius).
