My Oven Door is Loose!

How can I adjust the door of my oven door to make it close more tightly?

There are two main types of Oven Doors (a) Drop-Down Type (b) Open-Out Type

Drop-Down Type

Sometimes the screws loosen on the Oven Door Hinge locator on the oven body. Tightening the Hinge Screws may solve the problem.

Can you feel “play” or looseness when you press the oven door in? The Oven Door should fit snugly against the Oven Door Seal. The Oven Door Seal can become flat and lifeless. When this happens it allows hot air to escape from the oven and cool air into the oven. If faulty, replace the Oven Door Seal.
