Storage heaters are a more economical and energy efficient way of heating your home, provided they are managed properly. They use off-peak cheaper electricity at night time & give off heat during the following day. They cannot provide instant heat in the same way as a gas heater can. Once the thermostat is set on the heater, it will then give off heat at that temperature  & keep the room temperature constant.

The best way to manage them is to watch the weather forecast and predict what your temperature setting will be on the following day and then set the dial from 1 to 6 the day before.
