Fusible Link « Storage Heater Parts

My storage heater is dead. I can’t get a stir from it! The fusible link is the first place to look. Easily accessed under the lid. The most common function of a fusible link is to allow an electric current to pass in one end cap and out the other end. The fusible link controls the amount of current the microwave oven consumes and will blow if there’s an overload, or, short circuit in the storage heater itself. Without a properly working fuse/correctly rated the storage heater would be unsafe to use.
